FIRM PROFILE
The Umstattd-Cope Law Firm, LLC and its predecessors were founded  in 1994 in
Mexico, Missouri.  I was a sole practitioner in Mexico until 2002 when I moved with my
family to Joplin, Missouri.  In January 2008 I joined the firm of Curran & Sickal in Osage
Beach, Missouri.

I  received my  Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies and Theatre Arts from William
Woods University in Fulton, Missouri in 1987.  I then  received  my Juris Doctorate from
the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Law in 1990 and was a member of the
Phi Alpha Delta fraternity.  I was admitted to practice in the State of Missouri in 1990.  I
am  a member of the Missouri Bar, the  Audrain and Jasper County Bar Associations,
and  The U.S. District Court-Western District. I  served the public as  an assistant
prosecuting attorney and  as an assistant appellate public defender prior to  leaving for
private practice.

The Curran & Sickal  firm continues to grow through referrals by

integrity.  I  bring this background and raising  to each client I
represent.
