One of the most popular places to visit in London is Buckingham Palace, which has been the official london residence of the british monarchy since 1837. The palace was initially opened to the public in 1993 & the changing of the guard has proved especially popular with them. This ceremony takes place in front of the palace at 11. 30 every day in summer & every other day during the winter. Buckingham Palace is located in Westminster & its accessible by tube & bus. Because its such a enormous location, London is extremely simple to get to. in fact, its well-connected by rail & has some large train stations, containing London Bridge, London Victoria, London Euston & Liverpool st. in addition to this, the city also has 3 major airports, Heathrow; Stanstead & Luton. London was particularly prosperous in the eighteenth century & it became the biggest city in the world from 1831 to 1925. the growth of the city was helped by London’s first railways, which put countryside towns within easy reach of the city. The train network expanded very rapidly, which made London expand into its surrounding areas & come together with nearby settlements for instance Kensington.
Since then, London continues to thrive & it remains one of the biggest cities in the world.
Because it’s the capital of britain, London has the perfect museums in the country. One of the perfect is the Science Museum, which is in south kensington. The museum was formed in 1857 and boasts more than 300 000 exhibits, containing Puffing Billy and Stephenson’s Rocket.
